SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

AUTISTIC SUPPORT CLASSROOM

ELEMENTARY or MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVEL

 

CONTRACTED 

 

 

Valid PA Special Education Teacher certification is required.

 

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Plan and implement specialized programming for student needs related to Autism, including behavioral, social, communication, and sensory

• Previous experience with elementary students

• ABA and Verbal Behavior programming

• In-depth knowledge of the Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) process

• Design, implementation, and maintenance of Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)

• Effective organization of ongoing data collection

• Effective organization of paraeducator support staff to support student needs

• Effective collaboration and planning with general education staff to support meaningful inclusion 

• Effective parent collaboration
